My father loved my classical guitar playing. His support and encouragement was integral in my development as a musician. He taught me how to work hard and how to live with integrity. He and my mother Jennifer married in 1984. They founded a residential construction and management company together a few years later in Northwest Arkansas. He cared deeply for his family and did anything he could to make sure we never went without. He took us on numerous vacations to different parts of the United States. He loved to travel the world and had plans to see so much more of it than he already had. He was born on April 22, 1956 on a US military base in Germany. He grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas and would earn a degree from the University of Arkansas. He worked as a merchant marine and a stock broker prior to creating the company with my mother. In the early 2010s he and my mother began splitting time between NWA and Salida, Colorado.
He was killed on August 25, 2022 in a wreck that also put my mother in the ICU. This tragedy was caused by a 23 year old speeding well over 110mph on an interstate in Oklahoma. The legal proceedings have yet to begin. If you have read this far, please call your parents if they are still around to say you love them. And please drive courteously.
